Is the work outsourced?
No!
WDTP NEVER outsources any work. We are a purposefully small business with a core team that has been developing websites and providing graphic design services since 1998. There are NO ACCOUNT REPS or PROJECT MANAGERS. The team that consults with you initially is who will design, build, launch and help maintain your website.
Will you own my domain name?
No!
Your domain name is your #1 asset on the Web. We strongly encourage all our clients to register their own domain names. We will hold your hand and help if needed. We want your business because we are doing a great job. Not because we have your domain name.
Do I own my website after launch?
Yes!
All our contracts stipulate that you own your website after final approval, final payment and launch. You are free to move on at any time after site launch. We want your business because you are happy with our services not because you are under contract to stay. Fortunately virtually all our clients have remained happy customers for many years. 🤓
Do you offer hosting?
Yes!
WDTP partners with GoDaddy to provide best in class Managed WordPress Hosting. This is hosting only available to developers in good standing like Web Development Technology Partners, inc. It comes with unlimited storage and backups every day for up to 90 days.
What fees are involved?
Cost can vary significantly depending on the size, scope and complexity of each project. We treat each business as a unique project and develop a detailed proposal based on your initial FREE consultation. WDTP offers fixed price contracts to design, build, launch and host your website for one year. After your first year we invoice annually for hosting. WordPress training is included at no additional charge throughout the year. If you would like WDTP to make changes on your behalf, we are happy to do so and invoice at our hourly rate. There are no long term contracts. Once your site is launched you can leave WDTP anytime. We want you to be our client because you are happy. Not because we roped you into a commitment.
What if my site needs special functions like booking, custom databases, etc.?
No problem!
We are web development and WordPress experts! We know all the techno mumbo jumbo you can shake a stick at and have no problem integrating any features you may need no matter how complex. Everything from custom web application development using PHP and MySQL to custom DNS and DKIM solutions for email. Heck, we will even set your iPhone up for you if needed! 😉
Will I be able to edit my website after it's done?
Definitely!
All our contracts include up to 3 hours of WordPress training per year at no extra cost. We can get you up to speed making routine changes in less than one hour. Of course, WDTP is happy to make changes on your behalf if needed. We just invoice at our hourly rate. No long term maintenance contracts. We handle it as needed to save you time and money.
Do you do logo design?
Yes we do!
WDTP has designed many logos since we started in 1998. We handle it as a separate project that includes concepts, and several rounds of revisions to the final logo. Once finalized, we deliver your logo in many different file formats suitable for any printer.
Can you design for print?
Yes we can!
WDTP has been doing print work since 1998 and often help our clients with collateral print pieces for their new website design.
Do you offer social media management?
Yes!
WDTP is adept at designing static and motion based graphics for your social media sites. We can develop a style and templates that allow you to create as many different posts as needed throughout the year.
How can I track how well my website is doing?
Great question!
All the site developed by WDTP include Google Analytics which is the industry standard. This allows you to see traffic in both your WordPress Dashboard and even more in depth at Google Analytics itself. We also provide access to the Google Search Console which provides insight into how you are being found through the Google Search Engine. Additionally, all contact forms used in any website we develop log every submission so you will never miss a contact!
What if I can't make it to an in-person meeting?
No problem!
Most clients prefer to met in person at our office for their initial FREE consultation. That's great because we love to meet who we may be working with. Sometimes distance or timing makes in-person meetings inconvenient so we happy to set up a virtual meeting using Zoom.
