We definitely wanted this one to - and with lots of custom graphics and animations, we’d say we made it happen. But our design decisions weren’t just for the purpose of making the site visually appealing. They also are designed to convey a core message…
Firefly Scenic Studio fabricates scenic decor and other decorative elements for theme parks, museums, and more. They did a fantastic job of communicating to us what makes them stand out, so we set out to make a website that clearly conveys their enthusiasm and unique qualities.

We recently launched a new website for Firefly Scenic Studio, a Richmond-based studio that specializes in scenery, sculptures, and other decorative and thematic elements. For this site, we worked with their existing logo to create a look that felt cohesive, but still fresh! We really wanted to push the “storytelling” aspect, so we animated the logo and some additional dotted line elements that move as you scroll, guiding the audience down the page💡

A little deep-dive into how we designed a new site for Don Chido 🔥
We started designing what the overall look of the site would be before the restaurant was completed, using color references from fabric swatches and detailed descriptions from the client to match the vibe. The finished version ended up matching the interior of the restaurant perfectly - and we couldn’t be happier. Go check out the website and the restaurant when it opens!

“Don isn’t just a name” (it’s a website now, too!)
When we were tasked with creating a new site for Don Chido to coincide with the opening of their restaurant, we knew it had to be something special. It had to bring the same vibrant, passionate energy that Chef Abner brings to what he does. The goal was not to simply show off the restaurant, but to tell the story of Don Chido in a visual manner. Creating a new website for local substance abuse disorder treatment facility Evolution House was much more than just a visual project. We worked closely with them to make sure that we conveyed the emotional aspects of the work they do to tell a story that would resonate with potential new residents. We had an AMAZING time at the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade last night!! We stuck with our Phineas and Ferb theme and constructed a brand new retro car to fit this year’s rockin’ retro theme.
